Tracey Hannah obtained the victory in downhill and Vlad Dascalu in cross-country at Les Gets. Both strengthen their positions as leaders of the UCI MTB World Cup.

It was a great weekend for Galfer Bike at Les Gets (France), with two victories, two podiums and several top-ten positions in the different races, which were held in very dry and dusty conditions.

In downhill, the Australian rider Tracey Hannah (Polygon UR) achieved the victory in a tight final, which allows her to lead the general classification of the female DH World Cup with a margin of 200 points. On the same category, the Salvadoran rider Mariana Salazar (Dorval AM) made it to the podium for the first time in her sports career (3rd position). Both use GALFER’s fix Disc Wave® discs, as well as green Pro G1554T brake pads in their downhill bikes.

In the male category, the best rider was the Frenchman Baptiste Pierron (Dorval AM), with the 16th position, whereas Mick Hannah (Polygon UR) finished in the 26th position.

In cross-country, the Romanian rider Vlad Dascalu (Brújula Bike Racing Team) got his third consecutive victory in the U-23 male category, pulling off a great recovery after a flat tyre. Vlad consolidates his leading position on the general classification, with 70 advantage points. In the same race, Catalan rider Jofre Cullell (Megamo) ended up in the 8th position.

In the Elite races, Victor Koretzky (KMC-ekoi-Orbea) made it to the podium on Friday on the “Short Track” race, although on Sunday he only got the 11th position. Three other Galfer Bike riders ended up behind Victor: Anton Sintsov (PMR Team) on the 12th position, Milan Vader on the 13th and y Florian Vogel on the 14th (the last two from the KMC-ekoi-Orbea team).

In the female Elite category, Rebecca McConnell (PMR Team) achieved a well-deserved 8th final position, whereas her partner Githa Michiels got the 14th position.
All the Galfer Bike riders in cross-country use fix Disc Wave® 160-mm discs, as well as red Advanced G1851 pads in the competition.

The next round of the UCI MTB World Cup will be held at Val di Sole (Italy) from August 2 to 4, 2019.
