Galfer Bike had a stand on the exhibition area of Vallnord, where its representatives have achieved a victory and two podiums in the UCI MTB World Cup in Andorra.

It has been a great weekend for the brake component brand Galfer Bike in Andorra. GALFER had an 18-square-meter stand on the exhibition area, showcasing its whole range of brake products for MTB, e-bikes and road bikes. Besides, a new ø246-mm prototype brake disc has been shown to the public. The disc has been designed for 29” downhill bicycles, downhill tandems or e-bikes. This disc is already being used by the rider Joan Vicente Mérida (Vilabike), who has obtained great results with his Trek Session DH 29”. Without a doubt, it has been the greatest attraction of the Galfer Bike stand.

On a sporting level, the Galfer Bike riders have had very good results, especially in the cross-country disciplines, considering the tough conditions (above 2000 meters, with severe heat and a lot of dust).

In the male U23 category, the Romanian rider Vlad Dascalu (Brújula Bike Racing Team) has obtained his second victory this season, which consolidates his leadership of the general XCO world championship. Right behind him there was another Galfer Bike representative, Jofre Cullell (Megamo), who had a great ride.

In the Elite categories it is worth highlighting the Top Ten achieved by a female representative and two by male representatives: 6th position for Githa Michiels (Primaflor-Mondraker), 8th for Anton Sintsov (Primaflor-Mondraker) and 9th for Victor Koretzky (KMC-ekoi-Orbea).

In the downhill discipline, the Australian rider Tracey Hannah (Polygon UR) made it to the podium, which means she’s still leading the general classification on the female Elite category. The Salvadoran rider Mariana Salazar (Dorval AM) achieved a well-deserved 8th position.

In the male Elite category, the best performance was from the young French rider Dylan Levesque, who made it to the top 20, just like his countryman Baptiste Pierron (Dorval AM).

The MTB World Cup doesn’t rest. The next date will be next weekend at the Bikepark of Les Gets (France), where there will be XCO and DH competitions.
