Vlad Dascalu won the U-23 Men, and Annie Last, Rebecca McConnell, and Malene Degn climbed up to the podium in Elite Women at the second event of the UCI MTB XCO World Cup.

The circuit of Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) held the second Mountain Bike World Cup with great results for our Galfer Bike riders.

In U-23 Men, Vlad Dascalu (Brujulabike Team) won at the same place as last year. The young Romanian rider led most of the race and in the last lap he went some meters ahead and was the first to cross the finish line. He currently leads the World Cup general classification.

In Elite Women all Galfer Bike representatives did great and finished with three podiums, British rider Annie Last (KMC-ekoi-Orbea) achieved a great second place on Friday’s Short Track after a heart-stopping final. On Sunday, Australian rider Rebecca McConnell (PMR Racing Team) made her best result in a World Cup, winning the second place. French rider Malene Degn (KMC-ekoi-Orbea) climbed up her first podium in 5th place.

In Elite Men, Carlos Coloma did a great Short Track on Friday, finishing 5th so he could start from the first line on the grid. But Sunday wasn’t his best day. The most relevant result of the race was Pablo Rodríguez’s (PMR Racing Team), who finished 14th.

In U-23 Women, Helene Clauzel (KMC-ekoi-Orbea) was 9th.

The next round of the Cross-country World Cup will be held in Vallnord (Andorra) at the same time as the DH competition, from June 5th to June 7th. Galfer Bike will be there too.
